As these nitrogen losses often lead to the pollution of both surface and groundwater, they are likely to result in environmental degradation that will be detrimental to aquatic life, plants, animals, and humans. There are some traditional methods for nitrogen removal such as biological processes, chemical processes and physical operation. Recently, the biological processes have proven to be the most economical, feasible and efficient method for nitrogen removal. Furthermore, this method is the most promising method available for removing nitrate from water in the saturation conditions. Since subsurface soils are generally limited in the amount of available organic carbon, most microbial denitrification processes require additional carbon sources to sustain these activities. In this study, barley straw was used as a carbon source to enhance the denitrification processes and the effect of that on effluent nitrate and ammonium were evaluated.  Two forms of position of this biofilter near the drainage pipe to remove the nitrate form the drainage water were investigated in the laboratory study. The results showed 60% of influent nitrate was removed by these two forms of position over the study period. These biofilters also could remove more than 85% of influent nitrate after 8 weeks. Also, the results showed that this treatment had reduced the effluent nitrate concentrations below the USEPA maximum contaminant level for drinking water of 45 mg L-1 nitrate at the end of the study.}, keywords = {Barley straw,Subsurface drainage,Biofilter,nitrate,Denitrification}, title_fa = {بررسی میزان حذف نیترات در دو حالت قرارگیری فیلترهای زیستی در سیستم های زهکشی زیرزمینی}, abstract_fa = {آبشویی نیترات از مزارع کشاورزی و وارد شدن آنها به آبهای سطحی یکی از بزرگترین معایب سیستم های زهکشی زیرزمینی می باشد. تلفات چنین نیتراتی باعث آلودگی آب های سطحی و آلودگی آب های زیرزمینی می شود و در نتیجه آن تخریب محیط زیست و از بین رفتن محیط زیست آبی، گیاهان، حیوانات و انسان ها میشود. روش های مختلفی از قبیل فرآیند بیولوژیکی، فرآیند شیمیایی و فیزیکی به منظور حذف نیترات وجود دارد. در سال های اخیر نشان داده شده است که فرآیند حذف بیولوژیکی نیترات از نظر اقتصادی، قابلیت کاربرد و راندمان، مناسبترین روش می باشد. به علاوه، این روش یکی از مناسب ترین روش ها جهت حذف آلودگی نیترات در محیط های اشباع می باشد. از آنجائیکه بیشتر خاک های زیرسطحی با کمبود مواد کربنی مواجه می باشند، لذا بیشتر فرآیندهای میکروبی دنیتریفیکاسیون به منابع کربنی بیشتری جهت حذف نیترات نیاز دارند. در این مطالعه به منظور افزایش فرآیند بیولوژیکی در خاک از پوشال جو به عنوان ماده کربنی استفاده شد و تاثیر آن بر نیترات خروجی و آمونیوم مورد بررسی قرار گرفت.  در این مطالعه دو حالت قرارگیری این فیلتر زیستی در کنار لوله زهکش در آزمایشگاه شبیهسازی شد و عملکرد آنها در حذف نیترات مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. نتایج نشان داد که این دو حالت توانستند 60 درصد از نیترات ورودی را حذف نمایند. همچنین این فیلترها پس از گذشت هشت هفته از شروع آزمایش توانستند بیش از 85 درصد از نیترات ورودی به سیستم را حذف نمایند. همچنین نتایج نشان داد که افزودن این ماده کربنی به خاک باعث شد غلظت نیترات در پایان دوره مطالعه به کمتر از حد استاندارد سازمان بهداشت جهانی برای نیترات موجود در آب شرب که برابر با  45 میلیگرم در لیتر است برسد.}, keywords_fa = {پوشال جو,زهکش زیرزمینی,بیوفیلتر,نیترات,دنیتریفیکاسیون}, url = {https://jise.scu.ac.ir/article_10492.html}, eprint = {https://jise.scu.ac.ir/article_10492_34d9a9ee2ab221836c970b4e2124aeba.pdf} }
