In turn, one of the phenomenon that may affect the sedimentation is density currents. A density current is, indeed, the movement of a fluid through another one that has a different density. If there was saline stratification in the vertically downward direction in the reservoir of the static fluid, density current occurs as interflow. Kao (1977) derived the flow diffusion velocity along a common surface between two homogeneous fluids based on Bernoulli's theory. Likewsie, Ungarish (2012) and Sahuri et al. (2015) conducted studies on the interflow density current.   Methodology The experiments were conducted in a flume of 8 meters long, 34 centimeters wide and 70 centimeters high. To that end, a solution of water and salt was used to form the ambient fluid with saline stratification and a mixture of water and sediment particles as the dense fluid. 48 experiments were, then, carried out with 4 discharges (1, 1.5, 2, and 2.5 l/s), 3 slopes (2.5, 3.25, and 4 percent) and 4 concentrations (5, 10, 15, and 20 g/l). The motion of the interflow density current in a layered fluid is like that the flow entering the reservoir first expands as an underflow current and after moving a distance, it enters through saline layers of the fluid with saline stratified layers. The current, then, separates itself from the bed at a location in the reservoir where the density of the dense flow equals to that of the layered one. This way, the current finds the suitable density in its environment and moves in a horizontal layer (Fig.1).}, keywords = {Sedimentation,Dam reservoir,Density current,Separation point,Head velocity}, title_fa = {بررسی آزمایشگاهی سرعت پیشانی جریان غلیظ میانگذر رسوبی در سیال با لایه‌بندی شوری}, abstract_fa = {یکی از مهمترین مشکلاتی که پس از احداث سد بهوجود میآید، پدیده رسوبگذاری در مخزن سد میباشد. آگاهی از وضعیت سرعت پیشانی جریان غلیظ یکی از پارامترهایی است که در مخازن سدها بسیار حایز اهمیت است. بهمنظور بررسی سرعت پیشانی جریان غلیظ میانگذر در سیال با لایهبندی شوری یک سری آزمایش جریان غلیظ انجام شد. جریان غلیظ رسوبی در یک فلوم به طول 8 متر، عرض 34 سانتیمتر و ارتفاع 70 سانتیمتر  با چهار دبی یک، 5/1، 2 و 5/2 لیتر بر ثانیه،  چهار غلظت پنج، 10، 15 و 20 گرم بر لیتر و سه شیب 5/2، 25/3 و چهار درصد ایجاد گردید. نتایج نشان داد که با افزایش هر یک از پارامترهای دبی، غلظت و شیب، سرعت پیشانی جریان غلیظ در نقطه جداشدگی افزایش مییابد. با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS ضریب رابطه کولگان در نقطه جداشدگی 67/0 بهدست آمد و در قسمت ابتدایی جریان غلیظ میانگذر به مقدار 6/0 کاهش یافت. با استفاده از آنالیز ابعادی رابطهای برای برآورد سرعت پیشانی جریان غلیظ در نقطه جداشدگی در شرایط دبی، غلظت و شیب متغیر ارایه گردید. همچنین سرعت پیشانی در قسمت ابتدایی جریان غلیظ میانگذر (5/0 متر بعد از جداشدگی) با سرعت پیشانی جریان غلیظ میانگذر در ادامه مسیر حرکت مقایسه شد و یک رابطه برای سرعت پیشانی جریان غلیظ میانگذر در مسیر حرکت خود در لایهبندی شوری حاصل گردید. }, keywords_fa = {Sedimentation,Dam reservoir,Density current,Separation point,Head velocity}, url = {https://jise.scu.ac.ir/article_15304.html}, eprint = {https://jise.scu.ac.ir/article_15304_3cd63aa4a48290e20d10c54a5e3253c9.pdf} }
